Kimberly Shultz’s passion for adoption is deeply rooted in her own personal journey, having navigated the challenges of a teenage unplanned pregnancy and choosing open adoption. As a birth mother who chose adoption 25 years ago, she not only understands the challenges that come with unplanned pregnancies but also embodies the strength and grace required to make such a life-changing decision. Her involvement in her community—through volunteering at her church and Crisis Pregnancy Center—speaks to her deep commitment to helping others in similar situations. Her passion for adoption is matched by her dedication to teaching, and the combination of these two powerful elements—adoption and education—makes her mission with Option Hope so meaningful. By helping young students learn about adoption and dispelling common misconceptions, Kimberly is giving them the tools they need to better understand this often misunderstood aspect of life. It’s wonderful to see how her personal experiences have shaped her work, and how she continues to make a difference in both her community and the lives of young students in Louisiana.
